What P1401 means on a Jaguar

On Jaguar vehicles, P1401 is logged when the ECU detects a fault in the EGR: “Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Postion Circuit”. P1401 is a manufacturer-specific Jaguar code (the "1" after the letter marks an OEM-defined code), so its meaning applies to Jaguar and may differ on other makes.
