VAG CAN PRO (VCP) is a professional aftermarket diagnostic and programming system for Volkswagen Group vehicles. Built around a dedicated USB interface supporting CAN, K-line and, on newer builds, DoIP, it performs full diagnostics, guided functions, coding, adaptation, parameter changes and long coding on Audi, VW, SEAT and Skoda modules. Beyond fault-code work it offers component-level programming and flashing routines comparable in scope to dealer functions. Independent workshops and specialists use VCP for retrofits, module coding, service functions and ECU/component flashing where a generic scan tool is insufficient. The system is Windows-based and requires the VCP interface. It sits alongside tools like VCDS and ODIS in the VAG diagnostic ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on engineering and flashing capability.
