KESSY (Keyless Entry Start and exit sYstem) is Volkswagen Group's factory keyless-access and push-button-start system, fitted across Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, Skoda and Porsche models. It ties passive entry and start to the vehicle immobilizer and comfort CAN network through a dedicated control module and an antenna network. In diagnostic, locksmith and repair work, 'KESSy' identifies the module and authentication chain technicians address when adding or replacing keys, swapping a KESSY unit, adapting components or diagnosing no-start and keyless faults.
